From the Desk of
Tommy Stern

I know exactly where you are right now.

You've tried the wedge pillow. Maybe it helped a little - enough to keep using it. But you're still waking up. Still adjusting. Still pushing the thing back into position at 2 AM. Still not fully sleeping through the night.

I understand

I suffered with acid reflux for over a year before I finally figured out what would become Reflux Guard™. I tried medication, diet changes, and everything I was told to do. But I was still waking up choking on acid reflux several nights a week.

Then my doctor gave me the advice that should have solved everything:

"Tommy, you need to lift the head of your bed."

Simple. Logical. Use gravity to keep acid where it belongs.

The problem was execution.

Nobody could tell me how to incline the whole mattress properly. I couldn’t find a product that did it the right way. So I built one.

I created a foam wedge that goes under the mattress, lifting the head of the bed while gently tapering down about 75% of the mattress length. Instead of bending my body on a pillow, my entire body was gently inclined — more like sleeping on a natural slope.

Gravity did the rest.

The first night I used it, I slept through the night.

No more choking. No more constant adjusting. No more trying to prop myself up and stay in place. Just sleep.

Since then, I’ve heard the same story from thousands of customers — many of them people who had tried wedge pillows, bed risers, extra pillows, medications, and diet changes before finding Reflux Guard™.

"I had been waking up from reflux for so long. I forgot what a full night of sleep felt like. The first night with Reflux Guard was the first real night of rest I'd had in years."

Here's Why Your Wedge Pillow Isn't Helping

A wedge pillow elevates your head but it bends your body in the middle.

The bend at your waist compresses your abdomen which increases the pressure that pushes acid up into your throat.

This is why many wedge pillow users find that their reflux improves slightly but never fully resolves.

Elevation works, but it needs to happen across your entire body — from your feet to your head — in one smooth, gradual incline. Not just at your head.

That's exactly what Reflux Guard™ does.

How it works

Reflux Guard works like a wedge pillow — except instead of elevating just your head, it goes under your mattress and elevates your entire body to keep the stomach acid out of your throat.

Four Reasons Your Wedge Pillow
Can't Finish the Job

1

It Only Elevates Your Head & Stomach - Not Your Entire Body

Effective acid reflux elevation requires your entire torso to be above your stomach. A wedge pillow lifts your head and shoulders - but your midsection stays flat. That creates a bend at your waist that compresses your abdomen and can actually increase the pressure that pushes acid upward.

2

It Locks You Into One Sleep Position - Your Back

To stay on a wedge pillow, you almost have to sleep on your back. But back sleeping is actually the worst position for most acid reflux sufferers. Side sleeping, particularly left-side sleeping, is clinically recommended. But you can't comfortably side-sleep on a wedge pillow.

3

It Moves. All Night.

You go to sleep on the wedge. At 2am it's slipping down or halfway off the bed. You wake up, adjust, try to fall back asleep. The next morning you're exhausted from the interrupted sleep even if the reflux itself didn't wake you.

4

You're Sleeping On a Compromise

You spent weeks choosing the right mattress - one that supports your back, your hips, your sleep style. The moment you add a wedge pillow, you've introduced a different surface with different firmness and a different shape. Your body knows the difference.

Reflux Guard™ solves all four limitations - without changing how you sleep. Just where the incline comes from.

Actually Compare?

The Couple Who Couldn't Agree - Until Now

We ordered a Reflux Guard bed wedge(queen size, full length of bed) a couple of years ago and we LOVE it. My husband suffered from reflux nearly every night and also had breathing issues. We tried other solutions but they all caused problems for me as I like to sleep flat on my stomach. All of them all cause the top of the bed to be angled up

One Year on a Wedge Pillow. One Night on Reflux Guard.

We have been using Reflux guard from more than 2 years not because of GERD, but because my husband had surgery for esophageal cancer and must now sleep with his head elevated. Every other product I found used the typical "wedge, which causes an undesirable (for cancer patients especially) bend in the midsection.

No Longer Needed Medication

My name is Seth Harris. I live in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and I am 74 yrs old. I have suffered from chronic acid indigestion, reflux, and gas for over 15 yrs, and have taken Prilosec and Zantac, on and off for years. A friend told me to raise the head of my bed. I found Reflux Guard online and ordered the "wedge". The first night with it was a miracle- a full nights sleep and NO acid reflux. I stopped taking Prilosec after three days and it has been seven months and all my symptoms have disappeared. Thank you so much for your wonderful invention!

Side Sleeper Finally Solved

I could not be more pleased with this product. I am so pleased that the bed has the proper elevation at the head, sits well on my platform bed under the mattress. It is so much better than the lifts I was using before. The cover makes it easy to wash and maintain. Delivery was very fast and accommodating.

Everything Your Wedge Pillow
Promised. Finally Delivered.

Person sleeping comfortably on their left side on an inclined mattress

Sleep In Any Position — Including Your Left Side

Left-side sleeping is clinically recommended as the best position for acid reflux. It's also impossible to maintain comfortably on a wedge pillow. With Reflux Guard™ under your mattress, your entire sleep surface inclines — so you can sleep on your left side, your right side, your back, or your stomach without losing any benefit. Your position is yours again.

Set It And Forget It

Slide it under your mattress once and forget it's there. No more nightly repositioning. No more finding it on the floor at 3 AM. No maintenance, no replacement pads, no subscriptions. One purchase, backed by a 10-year warranty.

Questions From People Exactly
Where You Are

I've been using my wedge pillow for months. Does that mean I've been making things worse?

Not necessarily. A wedge pillow does provide some elevation benefit — and any elevation is better than lying completely flat. What it can't do is provide full-body incline without abdominal compression. So it may have helped partially while leaving room for improvement. You haven't done damage — you've just been working with an incomplete solution.

Will Reflux Guard™ work with my mattress?

Yes. It works with virtually every mattress type — memory foam, innerspring, latex, hybrid, and platform beds. Available in Twin, Full, Queen, King, and California King. If you're unsure which size fits your setup, call us at 516-499-6490 and we'll sort it out in two minutes.

My partner doesn't have reflux. Will this affect their sleep?

This is the question we hear most from couples. Because Reflux Guard™ creates a gradual, full-body incline — not a sharp angle — most partners report they barely notice the difference. Many actually prefer it. The incline is subtle and consistent across the full width of the bed. No one sleeps on a wedge. Both people sleep on the same mattress, in any position they choose.

What if the incline isn't enough — or is too much?

Reflux Guard™ is adjustable. Sliding it toward the foot of the bed increases the elevation from 6 inches up to 7 inches or more. You can find your ideal incline without buying a new product. And if you genuinely can't find a position that works for you, call us — we have a decade of experience helping customers dial in the right setup.

Is this really a one-time purchase?

One purchase. No subscriptions. The foam is warrantied for ten years. Unlike a wedge pillow that lives in your bed and absorbs everything nightly, Reflux Guard™ lives under your mattress and stays clean for years.
